General Updates
- Jobs can now be “cancelled” (cancelled or no shows). Cancelling a job can be done in the desktop app or from the drivers app. Cancelled jobs are completed and the job name and strikethrough are red to differentiate them from normal completed jobs. A future update will be able to report on cancelled jobs for analysis.
- Cosmetic changes to make it easier and more intuitive to use.
- Capacity limits have been implemented. If a bus has insufficient seats to accommodate the pickups and drop offs on a run, the offending run is highlighted. You can now drag and drop the jobs into an order that might work.
- Moving jobs now forces a bus and run selection in order to prevent jobs getting “lost”
- You can now search all regulars (from the “Runs” page) to see all open jobs assigned to them.
- A basic print function is now included for each day’s runs. This will be improved in the future.
- Added a “quick lookup” to see if an address is within the pickup zone.
- A complete rebuild of the “Timetables”. We had experienced some random data loss with a couple of sites so decided to start again and do a better job. Hopefully this issue is resolved. We took the opportunity to update the look of “Timetables” as well. Also, timetables are now imported from “Runs” and imported into the currently displayed day. So, if you want to import a timetable to the 15th, select the 15th in “Runs” and do the import from there.
Driver app updates
- A number of cosmetic changes to make it easier and more intuitive for drivers to manage their runs.
- Runs that do not contain jobs are now hidden. If a job is added then the run appears.
- Drivers can’t complete runs while there are open jobs. Jobs must be completed or cancelled first.
